Muscat: Dr. Ahmed Al-Shukaili, Assistant Public Prosecutor: The total number of cases dealt with by the Public Prosecution increased to 28,201 cases, with a completion rate of 96% of the total cases in 2021.

Nasr Al-Sawa’i, Public Prosecutor: The number of cases of prejudice to public money during the past year is 107, 52 of which have been referred to the courts, 15 cases are under investigation and disposal, 15 cases in which a verdict of conviction and 3 verdicts of acquittal have been issued, and 40 cases in which the verdict has been issued by the Public Prosecution.

Al-Sawa’i: 33 cases that were dealt with were for the crime of exploiting a government official to achieve his benefit or for others, 26 cases for the crime of using the job to obtain benefit, 22 cases for the crime of using the position to bring benefit to others, 9 cases for the crime of breaching the duties of the job.
