    Muscat Municipality reveals Aqabat Al-Amerat road reopening date

    Muscat: Eng. Hamad bin Rashid Al-Maamari from the Projects Department of the General Directorate of Projects and Afforestation in Muscat Municipality revealed, that maintenance work on the Al-Jabal “Al-Amerat-Bawsher” road will be completed this month, adding: “It is expected that the road will reopen by the end of December.” The ongoing work, after the basic work has been completed, and work will continue to complete the supplementary work, which includes repaving, restoring barriers, etc.

    Al-Maamari pointed out that the main reason for starting road maintenance work was the collapse of the soil from one of the curves, which is fragile soil affected by rain factors, adding that the work was assigned to a specialized company that examined the soil, and then supported and supported soil stabilization with injection (soil stabilization by grout).
