60% of Argot-Sarfit road project in Dhofar complete
Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), represented by the General Directorate of Roads and Land Transport in Dhofar Governorate, continues to implement the work on Argot -Sarfit road project in Dhalkut, the completion rate has reached 60%.
The project work includes constructing a new asphalt road lane with a length of (13.5) km, a total width of (10) m, box culverts for rainwater drainage (16), and concrete retaining walls with a length of about (1,300) m.
The project work also includes lining the side trenches with concrete along the length of About 12 km, and providing the road with concrete barriers with a length of about (9) km, in addition to the necessary protection works for the road, including traffic signs, ground reflectors, and road painting.
It is hoped that the project implementation work will be completed in the last quarter of 2024.
