

Muscat: Al-Ruwah art is one of the art of the mountain dwellers in Musandam Governorate and is performed by all mountain tribes, as it is considered an ancient art for its simplicity and lack of expediency, and the eloquence of its words and names, and it is called many names, including (bees) and (love).
This art, which is called by this name because it is considered an art of recreation, entertainment and fun, relies on drums that are often made from sidr trees or otherwise, as the trunks of these trees are hollowed out by hand digging, and this process takes about a month or more, but now Modern machines are used.
This art is performed on many occasions such as weddings, national celebrations and heritage festivals. It is performed by a group of men and young people also participate with them to preserve this heritage.
