Association for Children with Disability celebrates Qaranqasho event

Muscat: The Association of Children with Disabilities organized a Qaranqasho party in cooperation with the Kempinski Hotel in Al Mouj Muscat, the (Z71) team and the Sahem volunteer group.

Khadija bint Nasser Al-Saatiya, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Children with Disabilities Association, said that it is very important to integrate children with disabilities with the local community, noting that the association always seeks to develop the capabilities of children with disabilities and create the appropriate atmosphere for them.

She added, in a statement to Oman News Agency, that the ceremony included many activities and competitions, with the presence of cartoon characters, and a number of corners for children.

She explained that the event was attended by about 200 boys and girls who belong to the association.

The celebration of the Qaranqasho is an Omani social heritage and takes place on the middle night of the holy month of Ramadan.
