Bahla Fort Winter Festival Concludes

Bahla: The activities of the Bahla Fort Winter Festival in the wilayat of Bahla in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate concluded this evening, which lasted for 6 days.

Eng. Ali bin Ahmed Al Shaqsi, General Manager of the Bahla Castle Management and Operation Project, said that the Bahla Castle Winter Festival is the first in the historic Bahla Castle, and that is within the objectives of Marasim Tourism Company, which operates the castle, and to achieve the Oman 2040 vision in providing opportunities for the private sector to participate in the operation of archaeological and tourist sites, both on the societal side, by involving the local community of artisans and productive families to sell their products, in addition to stimulating internal tourism in the state, pointing out that the festival was visited by more than twenty thousand tourists from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

The festival included more than 25 productive families displaying their products in a corner dedicated to this aspect, in addition to the corner of the participating government institutions, the Omani Women’s Association, Beit Harfati (a corner specializing in pottery making), and Talid (a corner specializing in the ceramics industry), for which the Wilayat of Bahla is famous. . The conclusion of the festival’s activities was sponsored by His Excellency Sheikh Saeed bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Wali of Bahla, who honored the participants.
