Muscat: Bank Dhofar has decided to withdraw its offer to acquire Ahli Bank

In a disclosure to Muscat Stock Exchange the company said: “Further update on Takeover Offer for the entire issued share capital of Ahli Bank SAOG (“ABO”)

Further to our disclosure dated 27th July with regards to the proposed takeover of ABO by Bank Dhofar SAOG (“Bank Dhofar”) and discussions with the Central Bank of Oman, Bank Dhofar has decided to withdraw its takeover offer to acquire the entire issued share capital of Ahli Bank SAOG.”
