His Majesty’s Camel Cup Festival 2026 Kicks Off in Barka

Barka: The competitions of His Majesty the Sultan’s Camel Cup Festival 2026 commenced today at Al Fulaij Track in the Wilayat of Barka.

Organized by the Royal Court Affairs, represented by the Royal Camel Corps, the opening day featured 32 races for the Hagayeg category over a distance of 4 kilometres.

The races were held in morning and evening sessions, including 20 rounds for Bakkar (female camels) and 12 rounds for Qa’adan (male camels). The morning session comprised 22 races across both categories.

Competitions will continue tomorrow (Monday) with 22 races for the Lagaya category over a distance of 5 kilometres, including 15 rounds for Bakkar and 7 rounds for Qa’adan, distributed across morning and evening sessions.
