MoCIIP Launches Mandatory Beneficial Owner Registration in Line with Ministerial Decision 424/2023
Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) announced that it will activate the Beneficial Owner service on the Oman Business Platform starting Thursday, 11 December 2025.
The Ministry clarified that the activation comes in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. 424/2023, issuing the Regulation Governing the Procedures for Identifying the Beneficial Owner, and applies to all companies except public joint-stock companies.
MoCIIP affirmed that adding and updating Beneficial Owner information will be mandatory for all companies, stressing the need to provide the required data in line with the provisions of the Regulation.
The Ministry underscored that this step aims to strengthen governance, enhance transparency in the business environment, and align with international standards related to combating financial crimes and improving the integrity of commercial practices.
