    • Boat Carrying French Tourists Capsizes off Muttrah; Three Dead

    Muscat: Preliminary information indicates that a boat capsized 2.5 nautical miles from Sultan Qaboos Port in the Wilayat of Muttrah, carrying a group of 25 French tourists, including a tour guide and the boat’s captain.

    The incident resulted in the death of three tourists, while two others sustained minor injuries. Ambulance crews from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority provided medical assistance to the injured at the scene.

    The Royal Oman Police stated that the circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
