Muscat: The Oman Football Association (OFA) has confirmed today, the previous Iran national team coach Branko Ivankovic has been named the new head coach of Oman national team.
“The Branko Ivankovic a 65-years-old to oversee the training of senior Oman national team,” the OFA announced today.
The 65-year-old Branko Ivankovic was the major coach of the Iran’s team on 29th January 2002, he was success with their under-23 team, won the gold medal at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, south nation.
He also coached the Chinese team Shandong Luneng, and led the team to the 2010 Chinese Super league winners.
Branko Ivanković also coached Iranian side Persepolis FC team From 2015 to 2019, and taken the team to the final of the Asian Champions League in 2018.
The Branko Ivankovic was the most successful coach of the Iran football team in winning percentage.
