Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a weather alert indicating that a dusty front accompanied by heavy thunderstorms is expected to affect parts of the Sultanate of Oman in the coming hours.
The authority stated that the weather system will impact Al Dhahirah and Al Batinah North Governorates, with associated thunderstorm activity.
Thunderstorms are also forecast to affect the governorates of North Al Sharqiyah and South Al Sharqiyah, in addition to parts of Muscat.
More broadly, cloud activity is expected to increase across most governorates, with chances of thunderstorms continuing over Al Batinah North Governorate.
The CAA has advised the public to exercise caution during adverse weather conditions and to follow official updates.
