Drone Operations and Air Sports Resume in Oman
Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority Issues Circular on the resumption of issuing operating air activities
The Civil Aviation Authority announces the resumption of issuing operating permits for unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) for governmental, commercial, and recreational purposes (The green zones specified on the Serb platform only). The Authority also announces the resumption of paragliding, paramotor activities, all other aerial sports aircraft, as well as all aviation-related events and sporting activities.
This decision shall be effective from the date of issuance of this circular and will remain in force until further notice.
The situation will be reviewed on a continuous basis, and the appropriate decision will be taken in accordance with developments.
The Civil Aviation Authority emphasizes the importance of adhering to the provisions of this decision appreciating everyone’s cooperation to ensure the highest standards of security and safety in the Sultanate of Oman.
