Oman metrology said in weather forecast alert: “Thundershowers reduce in horizontal visibility during thundershowers downdraft winds reaching (15-35)KT with chances of valleys overflowing”
The affected areas are: Al Hajar Mountains: Al Dakhyliah, Al Dhahran, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, North Al Sharqiyah and South Al Sharqiyah
To ensure safety:
Immediately move away from low places and wadis, and do not attempt to swim in wadis
Do not risk crossing wadis in order to protect yourself and those with you in the vehicle
Keep an eye on children and never allow them to approach wadis.
