Camel race held in the Wilayat of Masirah

Masirah: The private camel race was held today in the Wilayat of Masirah in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, amid wide participation from owners and lovers of purebred Omani camels at the state field for the private camel races.

The race comes within the activities of the “Masirah Winter Forum 2024” with the participation of a group of camel owners, and includes 10 rounds designated for camel, over a distance of one and a half kilometres.

In the first round of the “Al-Bakar” category, “Masirah” won first place, owned by Hamad bin Saeed Al-Buhairi, second place was won by “Al-Shaybah”, owned by Al-Abd bin Obaid Al-Amri, and third place was taken by “Al-Shahiniya”, owned by Saeed bin Sinout Al-Wahaibi.

In the second half, the first place went to “Shaheen”, owned by Mahmoud bin Salem Al Wahaibi, the second place went to “Shaheen”, owned by Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Jahafi, while the third place came to “Riyad”, owned by Suwaibaj bin Mohammed Al Harsousi.

In the third round, the first place was won by “Al-Shahiniya”, owned by Subeeh bin Abdullah Al-Hakamani, and in second place was “Al-Shaiba”, owned by Rakan bin Saeed bin Sinout, and in third place was “Al-Rasmiya”, owned by Hamad bin Muslim Al-Jahafi.

In the fourth round, the first place went to “Batash” for its owner Saleh bin Amer Al-Numani, the second place went to “Al-Shahm” for its owner Abdullah bin Salem Al-Wahaibi and the third place went to “Danglawi” for its owner Abdullah bin Humaid Al-Amri.

In the fifth round, it took first place with “Ghazwa” for its owner Saeed bin Ahmed Al Jabri, in second place with “Shawaheen” for its owner Hamid bin Ghoneim Al Hakamani, and in third place with “Shawamah” for its owner Mahmoud bin Muslim Al Jahafi.

In the sixth round, the first place was won by “Malbi” for its owner Saeed bin Ahmed Al Jabri, and in second place was “Shaheen” for its owner Abdul Malik Bin Saud Al Yamani, while in third place was “Shaheen” for its owner Turki bin Abdullah Al Wahaibi.

In the seventh round of the “Al-Bakar” category, the first place was won by “Najah”, owned by Saleh bin Salem Al-Wahaibi, and in second place was “Dash” by its owner, Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Habsi, and in third place was “Fitna”, owned by Tamim bin Talib Al-Wahaibi.

In the eighth round, “Jabbar” won first place, owned by Mahmoud bin Salem Al-Wahaibi, second place went to “Harb”, owned by Saleh bin Amer Al-Numani, and third place went to “Shaheen”, owned by Tamim bin Talib Al-Wahaibi.

In the ninth round, the “Bakkar” category won first place for “Jabbara” for its owner Salem bin Hamad Al Junaibi, second place for “Nasiya” for its owner Muhammad bin Saeed Al Harsousi, and third place for “Al Shaheeniya” for its owner Salem bin Saeed Al Amri.

In the tenth round, it won first place in “Hadath” for its owner Ali bin Muhammad Al-Sudin, in second place “forcibly” for its owner Dhubayb bin Al-Abd Al-Araimi, and in third place “satisfactory” for its owner Asaad bin Khalifa Al-Wahaibi.

At the end of the race, His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdullah Baawin, Governor of Masirah, the sponsor of the event, honored the winners, participants and supporting entities.
