In a statement Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) said “Fasting people are not allowed to donate blood during fasting time so as not to affect their health, and they can donate blood after Iftar, as donors are advised to drink a lot of fluids before and after donating blood.
Donors are advised to drink a lot of fluids before and after donating blood, so blood donation continues at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher during Ramadan in the evening period daily from 7:30 pm until 11:30 pm every day and in morning from 8 am till 12.30 pm from Sunday to Thursday.
Do not postpone your blood donation, as it may save a patient’s life
