Career Guidance Forum in Sohar kicks off

Sohar: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Sohar started the activities of the Career Guidance Forum in its seventh session, entitled “Be Prepared”, with the participation of a number of academic institutions and institutions of the government and private sectors in North Al Batinah Governorate, and it will last for three days.

Dr. Awad bin Ali Al Maamari, Dean of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Sohar, said in the opening speech of the forum: The forum came this year after its previous sessions, and achieved its goals in enabling final year students, graduates and job seekers to make better learning and career choices by building an integrated system of Vocational education and counseling services for each of them.

He added that the forum is an integrated program that includes many activities aimed at preparing students, graduates and job seekers for future employment, competing for the best job offers offered in various operating sectors, and introducing them to the most important opportunities they have and how to address and improve them.

The activities of the forum include the organization of a number of training courses and dialogue sessions presented by a number of specialists in the fields of employment and training in the participating government and private institutions, in addition to experimental job interviews targeting graduates and job seekers.
