Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority has dined the rumours circulating on social media about the size of the gas cylinder that lead to an explosion in a restaurant in the southern Mabela area, Wilayat of Seeb in the Muscat Governorate.
In a statement CDAA said: “A reference to what was circulated on social media about the size of the gas cylinder. The Authority would like to clarify that what has been published is incorrect, stressing that information that has not been issued by the official authorities will not be published or circulated.”
The circulating social media rumours stated: “With regard to the gas explosion accident in one of the Mabela restaurants, one of the expatriates from the same building said that the size of the gas cylinder is 600 gallons.”
