Chairman of Shura Council Receives Bahrain Representatives Council Speaker

Muscat: Khalid Hilal Al Ma’awali, Chairman of the Shura Council received here today Fawzia Abdulla Zainal, Speaker of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives.

This took place on the sidelines of the 16th meeting of chiefs of GCC Shura, Representatives, National and Umma Councils. Al Ma’awali reiterated the advanced relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He also underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation, particularly in legal aspects. The two sides reviewed means of boosting relations between the Shura Council and Bahrain’s Council of Representatives to serve the joint interests of the two countries.

They also touched on rapprochement of views on various issues listed in the agenda of unions of regional and international parliaments.

On her turn, the Speaker of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives expressed her happiness at the success made by Oman in hosting the 16th meeting of chiefs of GCC Shura, Representatives, National and Umma Councils.

She also underscored the importance of cooperation through the councils of the two countries to boost the exchange of expertise in a manner that develops legal action in Oman and Bahrain.
