Chairman of the Oman Human Rights Commission meets the Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights of Pakistan

Muscat: The Honorable Sheikh Abdullah bin Showin Al Hosani, Chairman of the Omani Commission for Human Rights, met Walid Iqbal, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights Pakistan.

During the meeting, an introduction was made to the committee, its work and activities, and its relationship with international organizations and committees, in addition to its role in monitoring and receiving communications in the Sultanate of Oman. The two sides also discussed frameworks for joint cooperation and ways to develop them, in service of human rights issues.

The meeting was attended by Amir Hamzah, Advisor to the Pakistani Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pakistani Schools, from the Pakistani side. From the committee, Shatha bint Abdul Majeed Al Zadjali, Director of the Department of Organizations and International Relations, and Iman bint Khalid Al Saidia, who is in charge of heading the International Organizations Department.
