Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority issued Weather Alert from 11 AM to 6 PM today Saturday.
In a statement CAA said: Chances of thundershowers will continue over Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, South Al Batinah and Al Dhahran govern orates today Saturday 7th January 2023 associated with fresh wind and chances of flash floods “Wadis”. The intensity of heavy rain is expected over Oman Coastal areas with amounts between 30 mm and 50 mm. Chance of thundershowers to extend over Muscat and Al-Hajar Mountains at night.
Civil Aviation Authority advices all to take precaution during thundershowers rain and wadis and avoid sailing during the mentioned period.
