Colin Powell died at 84 of Covid-19 complication

Muscat: General Colin Powell, the fist black former US secretary of state and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chiram, 84, has died of Covid-19 complication, according to his family said in a statement.

In a statement Powell’s family said in a post on facebook page: General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Join Chief’s of Staff, passed away this morning due to the complications from Covid-19. He was fully vaccinated. We want to thank the medical staff at Walter Reed National Medical Center for their caring treatment. We have lost a remarkable and loving husband, father, grandfather and a great American. The Powell Family said.
