“Winds of Peace 2026” Enhances Omani–Saudi Maritime Cooperation
Muscat: The joint Omani–Saudi naval exercise “Winds of Peace 2026” concluded today in the Al Batinah Maritime Region, with the participation of a number of ships from the Royal Navy of Oman and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, and with support from the Royal Army of Oman and the Royal Air Force of Oman.
The exercise included a series of joint training programs and practical applications, in addition to the execution of a scientific demonstration, as outlined in the approved exercise plan.
The activities also featured an exchange of expertise and operational experiences between the crews of the participating ships, contributing to the enhancement of joint maritime capabilities and operational readiness.
The exercise reflects the depth of military cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and supports efforts to strengthen coordination, interoperability, and maritime security in the region.
