Muscat: Total Lockdown for 4-day begins in Oman

The decision of the Supreme Committee in charge of examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Corona virus (Covid 19) regarding the complete closure of commercial activities and preventing the movement of individuals and vehicles throughout the day begins from today Tuesday in Oman.

The complete closure will continue until 4 am on Saturday, 14 Dhul-Hijjah 1442 AH, corresponding to July 24, 2021 .

Following the recent weather condition in the Sultanate, and the wilayah of Sur in particular, the Supreme Committee decides to allow movement of individuals & to open stores selling basic needs in Sur only, on Tuesday & Wednesday July 20-21, 2021 (7am to 5pm).

The Ministry of Health said that in view of the urgent need to continue donating blood and its derivatives, and to facilitate blood donors, coordination has been made between the Ministry of Health and the competent authorities to allow donors to go to blood banks during the movement ban

Due to the severe shortage in blood banks, blood donation was allowed during the period of full lockdown, and to obtain permission to exit and donate only follow the following steps :

Two days before, you must send the word (تصريح) or (Permit) to this WhatsApp number 📲94555648.

A copy of the permit will be sent to your WhatsApp number to show it to the police, also you will be notified of the nearest place to donate.

Upon completion of the donation, you will be issued a paper permit to return to your home.
