Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police and the Public Prosecution, managed to seize a commercial company specialized in the sale of electrical and electronic devices that was working to change the data of the devices with other data related to well-known (famous) international brands, as part of its efforts to follow up and monitor the markets and curb the abuses committed by some suppliers, and in order to provide a safe consumer environment free of commercial fraud.
Through these seizures, the authority confirms its unremitting efforts in following up and monitoring the markets, and controlling anyone who may be tempted to violate laws, regulations and decisions related to consumer protection and take all legal measures against them. It also calls on consumers to report any abuses they may notice through the authority’s various communication channels.
