Crafts Exhibition opens in Rustaq

Rustaq: The Oman Crafts Exhibition was opened today under the title (Live Creativity and Innovative Ideas), organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Department in the South Al Batinah Governorate, from February 21 to 23 in the Wilayat of Rustaq. 8 small and medium enterprises participated as mobile vehicles, 14 participating institutions in the heritage village, 15 small and medium enterprises participating in the activities accompanying the exhibition, and 30 productive families.

The exhibition includes many activities, including the Bedouin and heritage village, face painting, Arabic calligraphy and cartoon drawing, a taekwondo show from the Takyon Martial Arts Academy, free flying, juggling, theater activities, and a display of various handicraft products.

The celebration of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority comes to enhance efforts towards promoting creative craft industries and confirm the value of craft performance and its contributions to achieving comprehensive development by working to establish mechanisms to develop and protect crafts, and implementing many initiatives that focus on qualifying and developing the skills of craftsmen.

The opening of the exhibition was sponsored by His Excellency Eng. Masoud bin Saeed Al Hashemi, Governor of South Al Batinah, and in the presence of a number of officials from the public and private sectors and owners of small and medium enterprises.
