Cultural Club organizes a workshop on “Heritage and the Future of Youth” in Sohar

Sohar: The Cultural Club in the Wilayat of Sohar in North Al Batinah Governorate today organized a workshop on “Heritage and the Future of Youth” within the program “My Heritage is My Identity”, presented by Dr. Huda bint Abdul Rahman Al Zadjali.

The seminar, which targeted a number of schoolgirls, included three main axes that combined theory and practical application, including: the manufacture of heritage and tourist postcards, which contain historical and heritage landmarks of the state of Sohar, and the manufacture of traditional brooches.

Dr. Huda Al-Zadjali touched on the importance of the Omani heritage in its various contents, the importance of studying heritage as a future direction, tourism promotion of heritage products in cooperation with a number of governmental and private institutions, in addition to benefiting from the available technology to produce heritage products of a contemporary nature.

Al-Zadjali also introduced the participants in the episode to a number of heritage tools and holdings within a mini museum, which included a group of heritage holdings from various Omani environments, including marine, desert, and hospitality tools.
