Cyclone Shaheen: Early warning of evacuation of residents in coastal areas in 4 governorates in Oman

Muscat: The National Committee for Emergency Management said in its official account an evacuation statement.

Residents on areas located within the direct impact of the cyclone starting from the Wilayat of Barka until the Wilayat of Saham, coastal strip of Muscat Governorate and other coastal areas in AL Sharqiya South Governorate need to evacuate their houses and move to the shelters already annulled on the different social media platforms

This measure is taken as a result of the impacts of the tropical cyclone (Shaheen) on a number of the Governorates, along with sever winds that could reach (200-500) mml during the next 48 hours as per the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center, and due to the sea waves rise between (8-12) meters and the sea tide reaching land.
