Muscat: His Majesty the Sultan issues directives to provide everything that would preserve the safety of citizens and residents during the Sultanate’s exposure to the effects of the tropical situation Shaheen.

In a statement OmanTv said: His Majesty the Sultan directed to provide everything that would preserve the safety of citizens and residents during the Sultanate’s exposure to the effects of the tropical situation Shaheen, this statement came during the extraordinary meeting of the National Committee for Emergency Management, headed by His Excellency Lieutenant-General Hassan bin Mohsen Al-Sharqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs.

During the meeting, the recommendations of the subcommittees of the National Committee for Emergency Management  in the Governorates, the preparedness and readiness efforts undertaken by the main and supportive parties involved in dealing with the tropical situation and its expected effects, were reviewed, and the readiness of the efforts made by the sectors of the system to implement the national plan to confront the effects of the tropical situation and the measures taken to reduce potential risks, maintain public safety and reduce material losses.
