Cyclone Shaheen: Suwaiq records the highest amount of rain so far

Muscat: The analyzes of the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards indicate that the tropical depression is currently concentrated in Al Dhahirah Governorate and is expected to continue its movement and weakness towards the west and its exit from the borders of the Sultanate.

Dr. Saeed bin Hamad al-Sarmi, a weather forecast expert at the Civil Aviation Authority, indicated in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the tropical situation is moving away, but the instability and chances of rain will continue in the governorates of North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah and parts of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, calling on citizens and residents to take the utmost care and caution.

He said that the highest amounts of rain recorded so far in the state of Suwaiq amounted to about 290.8 mm, followed by Al-Khaboura, which recorded 167.9 mm, and a number of states had a large share of precipitation.
