Muscat: In the run-up for the forthcoming Municipal Councils Elections, Third Term, it has been decided that the period allowed for the registration of voters in the elections’ register ends tomorrow (Thursday), 17 November 2022, which is also the deadline for transfer of voters’ electoral files from one wilayat to another.

The Ministry of Interior called on citizens who have not previously been registered in the electoral register to quickly submit their requests for registration in the electoral register through the website “elections.om”. The application should quote the voter’s addresses registered in their ID cards, provided that the cards are equipped with the electronic certification system “Public Key Infrastructure or PKI”.

The ministry also called on voters registered in the electoral register wishing to transfer their registration from one wilayat to another to quickly submit their applications through the election website, according to the permanent or current address recorded in the ID cards. – ONA
