    • Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council receives his Iranian counterpart

    Muscat: Yaqoub Mohammed Al Harthy, Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council received here today with Mujtaba ZulNour Vice Chairman of Iran’s parliament, who is currently on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

    The Shura Council’s Deputy Chairman lauded the bilateral relations between the two countries.

    During the meeting, the two sides reviewed areas of cooperation between Oman and Iran in various fields of common concern, especially in legislative matters. They also touched on the continuous coordination between the two councils in various international matters of mutual interest.

    On his turn, the Iranian official underscored the advanced relations between Oman and Iran and the development it underwent through continuous coordination in various regional and international events.

    The meeting was attended by several members of the Shura Council and Ali Najafi, Ambassador of Iran to Oman. -ONA
