Ibri’s Harat Al Raml Restoration Project Aims to Boost Heritage Tourism in Oman

Harat Al Raml in Ibri Set for Development into Key Heritage Destination

Ibri: A’Dhahirah International for Development and Investment organized an introductory meeting on the project to develop and restore the historic Harat Al Raml (Al Raml Quarter) in the Wilayat of Ibri.

The meeting, held at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in A’Dhahirah Governorate, comes within ongoing efforts to transform the quarter into one of the governorate’s prominent heritage destinations and support tourism development.

The company affirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with public and private sector partners to ensure the success of the project and enhance its economic and tourism value.

The meeting included a presentation highlighting the historical and economic significance of the project, as well as the planned restoration approach that preserves the architectural identity while aligning with sustainable development requirements.

Participants also conducted a field visit to Harat Al Raml to review the project components and development plans aimed at revitalizing the site and enhancing its attractiveness as a tourism destination.

The meeting was attended by Tahir Mabkhout Al Junaibi, Governor of A’Dhahirah, Eng. Abdulrahman Humaid Al Yahyai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of A’Dhahirah International for Development and Investment, along with a number of officials and representatives of relevant entities.
