DGS to decide regarding resumption of schools on Thursday


Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman’s Ministry of Education has announced that the Director General of the Educational Directorates in each governorate will decide regarding the resumption of schools on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

The Ministry has urged the Director Generals to examine the current scenarios of each school. Keeping in mind the safety of students and staff, schools can decide how the classes will be conducted.

In a statement Oman News Agency said: “It has been decided to grant directors general of education in Oman the powers to determine the mechanism of official duty tomorrow “Thursday” 18 April, after assessing the situation of each school in a manner that guarantees the safety of students and teaching staff.”
