Salalah: Dhofar Forum 2023, titled “Dhofar Gateway to a Brighter Future,” discussed efforts made to support economic diversification, comprehensive development and sustainable growth in the governorate.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. The forum saw the participation of representatives of 150 establishments, including government institutions and units, public firms, small and medium enterprises and other business and professional entities.
The programme of the forum was organized by business world magazine “Alam Al-Eqtisad”, with inputs from Dhofar Municipality, the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) and Oman Tourism College.
Discussion sessions and working papers of the forum focused on salient features of development and the prospects of growth in Dhofar. A working paper presented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning outlined Greater Salalah masterplan.
