612 Students Honoured in Dhofar for Academic Excellence

Dhofar Education Celebrates 612 Outstanding Students in Salalah

Muscat: The Directorate General of Education in Dhofar Governorate today honoured 612 students for outstanding academic achievement for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.

The ceremony, held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, was patronised by His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar.

Dr. Maysoon bint Bakhit Al Shahri, Director General of Education in Dhofar Governorate, said that the Ministry of Education continues to adopt a scientific approach to support students by providing stimulating learning environments and quality programmes that enhance their skills and knowledge.

She added that the recognition reflects the efforts of students, families and educational institutions in achieving academic excellence.

The programme included a speech by the honoured students, a segment titled “Dialogue of Generations,” a choral performance “Land of Peace,” and a presentation of the traditional Al-Bar’ah art.

At the end of the ceremony, His Highness the Governor presented certificates and awards to the students, including those from Grades 5 to 12, as well as students from special education and vocational and technical education streams. Institutions that contributed to organising the event were also honoured.
