Dhofar, GGGI Begin Programme to Support Sustainable Development Goals

Salalah:  The Governorate of Dhofar today launched a five-day preliminary programme marking the visit of a delegation from the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).

The programme, held in the Wilayat of Salalah in cooperation with the Environment Authority, forms part of efforts to enhance the management of natural resources and ecosystems in the governorate.

Running until 7 May 2026, the programme aims to develop an integrated roadmap to support sustainable development goals, alongside advancing agricultural initiatives aligned with international standards for combating invasive species and protecting biodiversity.

The initiative seeks to strengthen Dhofar’s position as a regional hub for ecosystem and natural resource management. It also supports the alignment of development policies with economic activities in a manner that safeguards natural assets and promotes sustainable opportunities for future generations.
