Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday appoints Dr. Mohammed bin Said bin Khalfan Al Ma’amari as the New Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA).
Dr. Mohammed bin Said bin Khalfan Al Ma’amari was previously the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs since August 12, 2020.
Al Maamari held the position of scientific advisor in the office of the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and was head of the “Omani Hajj Mission” in 2010,and he holds a doctorate in Islamic studies from Germany
