Muscat: The Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) during its first meeting elected Dr. Rashid Hamad Al Balushi as Chairman of the OHRC and Saud Saleh Al Maawali as Deputy Chairman, in accordance with Article Three of its work system according to Royal Decree No. 57/2022, and after its restructuring in accordance with the Paris Principles.
Al Balushi told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the commission is working on setting up a national strategy for human rights based on article 11 of the commission’s regulations. He affirmed that a lot of work awaits the commission on the national and international levels.
