350 Students Compete in Holy Quran Memorization Finals in South Al Batinah

Final Rounds of Holy Quran Memorization Competition Underway in Al Rustaq

Al Rustaq: A total of 350 male and female students from government and private schools in South Al Batinah Governorate are competing in the final rounds of the Holy Quran Memorization Competition, which will continue until 8 February 2026.

The competition aims to promote awareness of the Holy Quran and reinforce Islamic values and identity among students, said Badr bin Salim Al Bakari, Supervisor of the Competition. He explained that the contest is organized by the Ministry of Education as part of its efforts to encourage Quranic learning across different educational stages.

Al Bakari noted that the competition includes six levels, designed to suit various age groups and academic grades.

The Excellence Level, open to students from all grades, requires the memorization of 10 parts of the Holy Quran, including five consecutive parts.
Level One, for grades 11–12, involves memorizing five consecutive parts.
Level Two, for grades 8–10, requires memorizing four consecutive parts.
Level Three, for grades 5–7, includes the memorization of three consecutive parts.
Level Four, for grades 3–4, requires the memorization of two consecutive parts.
Level Five, for students from early childhood education to grade two, involves memorizing one part of the Holy Quran.

He added that the competition reflects the Ministry’s commitment to nurturing students’ spiritual development and encouraging excellence in Quran memorization within an organized and motivating educational environment.
