Muscat: To raise awareness of health measures, Muscat Municipality presents essential guidelines for women’s barber shops and beauty centres to safeguard public health in preparation for expected crowds readying themselves for Eid al-Fitr.

Women’s Hairdressing and Beauty Centres

Ensure cleanliness of tools and equipment to avoid the transmission of diseases:

Use ultraviolet Sterilisation devices, Use new tools for each client, Clean and disinfect tools regularly

Makeup Products:

Tightly seal products when not in use, Understand product symbols, Avoid using products of unknown origin

Dispose of expired products or those with altered properties, Store properly

Men’s Barber Shops:

Essential requirements to adhere to:

Utilise sterilisation devices, Maintain general cleanliness of tools and devices, Use single-use Shaving tools

Adhere to specified uniforms, Ensure the availability of a water source for tool cleaning, Provide a first-aid kit
