Ekata–Nrityotsav 2023: A symphony of Indian Classical Dance Festival

Ekata Muscat is a voluntary organization which started its humble journey in the year 2018 with an ambitious plan of promoting the rich tradition of Indian classical Artforms and using this as a platform to celebrate the strong inter-cultural community of India and Oman. Ekata Muscat is making its humble effort to preserve the cultural heritage and identity and move it on to the next generation so that it can continue to flourish for many more generations.

Since its debut performance, in October 2018, Ekata Navarathri Sangeethotsavam , a Carnatic Music Concert spanning nine consecutive days, Ekata has been able to showcase and assimilate 250+ artists / maestros from different part of India, Oman, and other GCC countries.

As a part of celebrating its fifth-year milestone, we are proud to announce the first edition of “Ekata Nrityotsav 2023”, a symphony of Indian Classical Dance. The Honourable Indian Ambassador His Excellency Mr. Amit Narang will inaugurate the “Nrityotsav” on Friday 17th February 2023 at 5.00 pm in Golden Tulip Headington Ruwi hotel.

Ekata Nrityotsav echoes the true spirit of art and aims to create a vital forum for the expression and interpretation of Indian Classical Dance. Over 50 committed and dedicated performers / upcoming artists trained under 12 Gurus (Teachers) will be performing as a part of Ekata – Nrityotsav 2023. This will be a Confluence of different Indian classical dance forms – Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi and Kathak. Ekata is also proud to be honouring all the Gurus (teachers) with our humble token of appreciation for their contributions to the art community in Muscat.

We request the wholehearted support of our media friends and esteemed media organizations in promoting this event. You are a vital link to connect to the third element of the art trinity; the art patrons & aficionados, to the other two elements; the art and the artistes. We look forward to a fruitful association with you, both in the present and future.
