Sohar: The Environment Authority’s Department in North Al Batinah Governorate today organized a forum in Sohar on protecting ecosystems and enhancing compliance with legal regulations governing industrial activities, with the participation of academics and representatives from the industrial sector in the governorate.

The forum included a panel discussion on proposals and practical solutions aimed at preserving ecosystem sustainability and supporting environmental protection efforts.

Discussions also addressed ways to tackle environmental threats linked to industrial activities, support the transition toward clean energy use, reduce carbon emissions, and prevent illegal waste discharge into the marine environment.

The forum was held under the auspices of Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al Hinai, Wali of Sohar.
