Muscat: Oman’s Environment Authority said, for the second day in a row, the specialists at the Environment Authority, the Port of Duqm and the Five Oceans Company continue to work to rescue a humpback whale on which a group of nets have been hung and its movement restricted inside the port of Duqm, and the authority will publish the details of the rescue at a later time
The humpback whale is among the largest mammals, and its length reaches more than 15 meters, and is classified as an endangered species, so hunting it is prohibited, and its preservation is one of the environmental priorities that everyone must follow in order to preserve this type of living creatures.
