Muscat: The “Art and Place” event, hosted by Sultan Qaboos University, continues until 9 April, offering an interactive experience where artists create their works in front of the audience.
The event provides visitors with an opportunity to observe the process of artistic creation within a natural setting.
It aims to highlight the role of art in raising environmental awareness and supporting sustainability, while encouraging Omani artists and promoting cultural exchange with international artists residing in the Sultanate of Oman.
The event also seeks to connect artistic expression with place and nature, providing an engaging experience for students and visitors.
The programme features participation from 11 Omani artists specialising in environmental art, alongside artists from Hungary, Algeria and Egypt residing in Oman.
The event presents a platform for diverse artistic perspectives, reflecting the relationship between creativity and the environment.
