Exhibition of archaeological finds in Oman’s Al-Mudhaibi Kicks off Tomorrow

Muscat: The exhibition of archaeological finds in the Wilayat of Al-Mudhaibi will open on Sunday, which is organised by the Heritage and Tourism Department in North Sharqiyah in cooperation with the German mission from the University of Tübingen, the exhibition will last for five days.

The opening of the exhibition comes within the framework of the archaeological survey and excavation programmes implemented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism with a number of international universities. It contains the oldest smelting and production workshops for copper in the Sultanate of Oman, which dates back to the beginning of the third millennium BC.

The exhibition aims to introduce the local community, those interested and researchers in the field of antiquities, as well as school and university students, with these archaeological discoveries.
