Explore life and reflections through Kurian Joshi’s solo art exhibition at Art & Soul Gallery

Muscat: Artist Kurian Joshi’s solo exhibition, ‘Lantern – Lighting the Imagination’, is set to come alive with ingenious fervour at the Art & Soul Gallery in Muscat on January 25. Mr Salem Al Bortmany, CEO of Areej Vegetable Oils & Derivatives SAOC and a seasoned technocrat, will be the guest of honour at the opening event. The exhibition will display a range of Kurian Joshi’s works, showcasing years of his creative exploration and genius.

Running till January 31, the exhibition will encapsulate a fusion of abstract and realistic paintings, with Kurian Joshi’s works delving into the essence of life and intellectual reflections, predominantly focused on the theme of Oman.

Kurian Joshi said, “My creations are intimate records of the resonances I feel within, offering a glimpse into my artistic journey. I invite everyone to share in this experience, and I hope this exhibition provides an exhilarating and enriching experience for all art enthusiasts.”

Kurian Joshi, who has over 40 years of experience in the communication industry and began his career in sculpture and clay modelling. He is noted for his adaptive thinking and eagerness to learn. Kurian’s career encompasses roles as a creative director, managing advertising for diverse brands, and expertise in cartoons, caricatures, and illustrations His other significant roles include working at the India International Trade Fair in New Delhi and serving as an Art Director for National Award-winning Indian film director Bharathan. Additionally, he ran a Design House in India focusing on corporate design. His accolades include the Cresta Merit Award for Sadolin Paints in Advertising and an award for the Oasis Water brand.
