Over 50 Iranian people have been killed and several others injured after two explosions hit areas close to the cemetery where former IRGC-QF Chief Qassem Soleimani is buried, Iran’s state TV reported.
A provincial security official says it’s not yet clear if it was a terrorist attack or gas cylinder explosion.
The IRGC’s Tasnim News says two “bomb-laden suitcases” were blown up apparently using remote control at the entrance of cemetery where people had gathered to mark the fourth anniversary of Soleimani’s killing in a US drone strike.
