Muscat: The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority said that the rescue teams of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Department in the Governorate of South Al Batinah responded to the drowning accident of a family of five people in Al-Sawadi Beach in the Wilayat of Barka.
“As a result of the accident, the father and two children died, the mother and a healthy child were rescued,” Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said.
The CDAA called on everyone to follow safety guideline, not to swim in undesignated places, and to monitor children to avoid tragic drowning accidents.
The CDAA also extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased and thanks all the citizens who contributed to the search and rescue operations.
