    Muscat: First bus made in Oman to be launched soon

    In a statement Oman news agency said: Karwa Motors is currently preparing to produce the first bus from its factory located in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm, one of the strategic investments between the Sultanate and the sisterly State of Qatar, through the Oman Investment Authority’s contribution with a 30 percent share, and the Qatar Transportation Company with a 70 percent share.

    The project, which has a production capacity of 500 buses per year, will contribute to stimulating economic activity in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm by using the facilities of Duqm Port and other ports of the Sultanate to import spare parts, bus structures and other raw materials and export buses.
